Vue Entertainment wanted to elevate the Food & Beverage offer at its Finchley Road site with a new bar concept that matched the brand’s premium positioning and enhanced the wider cinema experience. The brief was to create a destination within the venue that felt inviting, commercially effective and fully integrated into the customer journey, encouraging guests to arrive earlier, stay longer and spend more across the F&B offer.
Interior Design
Working closely with the Vue team, we developed The Edit Bar: a premium bar concept shaped by a strategy-led retail design approach. We identified the key principles needed to support a seamless customer journey, from visibility and ease of navigation to comfort, dwell time and operational efficiency. The bar and counter designs were carefully created to blend into the existing environment while giving the space a stronger sense of purpose, creating a relaxed pre- and post-film destination that felt like a natural extension of the Vue experience.
Result
The result was a more compelling hospitality offer that improved the customer experience while unlocking stronger commercial potential from the existing asset. By creating a premium, design-led F&B environment within the cinema, The Edit Bar helped broaden the role of the venue beyond film, supporting increased dwell time, greater sales opportunities across F&B categories and a stronger overall proposition for both customers and asset investors.
