Crown Glass Shopping sits at the heart of Nailsea, a town with a rich heritage and strong sense of community. The centre lacked a cohesive identity that reflected its local significance. The goal was to create a new brand identity and signage that honoured the town’s history while unifying the town centre’s retail and community offer into one recognisable and engaging destination.
Branding & Strategy
We explored Nailsea’s past and drew inspiration from the town’s historic glassmaking industry, which began in the 1780s. Using the distinctive colours and textures of Nailsea glass, we developed a new visual identity and colour scheme.
Signage & Wayfinding
A refreshed signage system introduced the distinctive blue-to-green glass motif across town centre totems, fascia signage, and wayfinding. The design brought a sense of unity, character, and energy to the entire centre.
Impact
The new branding has given Crown Glass Shopping and the wider town centre a clear and attractive identity rooted in local history. The glass-inspired design has been successfully implemented across all key touchpoints, creating a more engaging visitor experience. The revitalised public realm has also contributed to a growing sense of place, with Nailsea now attracting more community activity – including an increasingly popular farmers market.
The Priory Shopping Centre in the heart of Dartford had become tired and dated, struggling to attract both visitors and new tenants. Our objective was to breathe new life into the space through a rebrand and targeted improvements, transforming it into a vibrant and relevant destination for the local community.
Branding & Strategy
We carried out a full rebrand of the centre, developing a new cohesive modern identity inspired by the local ‘Dartford warbler’, that enhanced the centre’s relevance to the community and created a sense of place.
Asset Enhancement
We also provided a series of interior design upgrades, including improved lighting, new signage, and the refurbishment of key touchpoints such as welfare facilities, car park lobbies, and entrances – all aimed at improving the customer journey and overall experience.
Impact
The new branding and refreshed interiors have transformed the Priory into a bright, welcoming community hub. The centre now feels more modern and relevant, helping to increase footfall, boost tenant interest, and re-establish the Priory as a key destination in Dartford’s retail landscape.
