We were tasked by Workspace to improve the communal spaces within a couple of the office buildings within their portfolio. We conducted a comprehensive customer experience audit to identify a series of high-impact improvements on the spaces to improve the customer experience and therefore make them more attractive to prospective tenants.

What we delivered

Redesigned entrances and front of house areas created a sense of arrival and courtyard spaces were revitalised to better serve customers’ changing workplace behaviours whilst reinforcing the importance of wellbeing in breakout spaces.

Addressing the lack of cultural connection, we installed environmental graphics and framed artworks that injected colour, meaning and emotional resonance into the spaces by reflecting the buildings’ rich heritage. One was a former Marmite factory, the other a leather market and tannery.

We improved poor acoustics and inconsistent lighting, whilst revamping the existing furniture and layout to create multi-functional spaces, with the installation of phone booths to enhance privacy.

Why it was game changing

The revitalised spaces, breathed new life into the buildings, tailored to the real, everyday needs of the small businesses who use them, their phenomenal feedback expressing pride and genuine delight in their transformed workspaces.

Improving the experience customers have within the spaces, will in turn improve retention, and attract more customers to occupy spaces within the buildings, thus driving occupancy with the business.
