We are thrilled to be working with Bristol Airport who are investing £60m in the next 2 years on the development and expansion of its Departure Lounge as part of a wider terminal transformation programme. The significant upgrade is designed to support its future growth target of 15 million passengers per year.

Our role has been to help reimagine how passengers use and experience the Departure Lounge space, ensuring the lounge not only meets this rising demand but elevates comfort, efficiency, and commercial opportunity.

What we delivered

Informed by passenger-flow analysis, capacity modelling, and spatial planning, we redesigned the layout and improved the visibility and placement of retail and dining zones to create stronger commercial opportunities and attract new tenants. All aspects of the lounge were considered including expanding and diversifying seating to better accommodate the future growth.

Why it was game changing

These enhancements will deliver a smoother, less crowded passenger experience with more space, more choice, and a noticeably elevated ambiance. The improved layout and circulation now support more efficient operations, better customer experience and ultimately, positions the airport to comfortably meet its ambitions of serving up to 15 million passengers per year.
