Exchange Ilford
We were engaged to support the transformation of Exchange Ilford, refreshing spaces in the centre to reflect the future vision. Our work focused on enhancing the visitor experience through thoughtful temporary interior design and vibrant, engaging graphics and communications to enhance space. We supported the project team in delivering a meaningful and exciting experiences that would inspire and delight guests as they moved through different spaces at the community focused shopping centre.

What we delivered
Temporarily transforming dead space within the centre, we converted a large TKMaxx unit into a new mall and pop-up food hall. We were able to define a layout that worked both from a customer journey perspective and operations and fire strategy perspective before designing a rich, colourful and inspiring design with wall graphics, new flooring, ceiling baffles, lighting and kiosk & market stall units.
In another area of the centre, the creation of an in-mall marketing suite and campaign hub, built awareness and generated engagement from both customers and prospective tenants to inform them of new developments planned at Exchange Ilford.
Social media activations engaged the public and signage and wayfinding around the centre drove footfall and funnelled traffic to the new areas.
Why it was game changing
The new food hall and mall allowed the Centre to maintain a key route into the hub of the building whilst creating a new and exciting destination for fresh food, driving footfall and encouraging new retailers and guests into the centre.
The result was a revitalised destination that increased footfall, attracted new tenants, and re-positioned the centre as a dynamic, community-focused hub.
